"Senator Sanders's gravelly voice and dramatic presentation are surely familiar to listeners. He reads with the same sincerity and earnestness he brought to audiences throughout his extraordinary primary campaign for president of the United States. A seasoned orator, he's particularly good at changing speed and intonation to emphasize the points he wants you to understand and absorb." — Publishers Weekly
This program is read by the author and Mark Ruffalo, an award-winning actor, director, producer, and social activist.

When Bernie Sanders began his race for the presidency, it was considered by the political establishment and the media to be a "fringe" campaign, something not to be taken seriously. After all, he was just an independent senator from a small state with little name recognition. His campaign had no money, no political organization, and it was taking on the entire Democratic Party establishment.
By the time Sanders's campaign came to a close, however, it was clear that the pundits had gotten it wrong. Bernie had run one of the most consequential campaigns in the modern history of the country. He had received more than 13 million votes in primaries and caucuses throughout the country, won twenty-two states, and more than 1.4 million people had attended his public meetings. Most important, he showed that the American people were prepared to take on the greed and irresponsibility of corporate America and the 1 percent.
In Our Revolution, Sanders shares his personal experiences from the campaign trail, recounting the details of his historic primary fight and the people who made it possible. And for the millions looking to continue the political revolution, he outlines a progressive economic, environmental, racial, and social justice agenda that will create jobs, raise wages, protect the environment, and provide health care for all—and ultimately transform our country and our world for the better. For him, the political revolution has just started. The campaign may be over, but the struggle goes on.

Senator Sanders’s gravelly voice and dramatic presentation are surely familiar to listeners. He reads with the same sincerity and earnestness he brought to audiences throughout his extraordinary primary campaign for president of the United States. A seasoned orator, he’s particularly good at changing speed and intonation to emphasize the points he wants you to understand and absorb. Actor Ruffalo sounds subdued by comparison; though he is an ardent fan of Sanders, he doesn’t muster the energy, urgency and hopefulness that Sanders does. Though the text touches on many points from his recent campaign, it adds much personal and political history and detailed plans on every issue. The recording was made prior to the 2016 election, and Sanders’s optimistic tone reflects his high hopes that in the coming administration his “future to believe in” might begin to be realized. A Thomas Dunne hardcover.

Who better than the incomparable Bernie Sanders to tell his own story? In his raspy, Brooklyn-accented voice, he recounts stories from his humble childhood. He warmly reveals that his brother, Larry, introduced him to politics and activism. Sanders delivers charming humor, along with humble truths about losing elections and what he's learned from the campaign trail. Actor and activist Mark Ruffalo earnestly presents details of Sanders's work and ideas for a new America. Both Sanders and Ruffalo sound like they're directly addressing listeners, and hearing actual recordings of Sanders's speeches adds a further dimension to this essential work. The audiobook finishes on a positive note as Sanders reveals that he felt more encouraged at the end of his campaign than he did at its beginning. S.G.B. © AudioFile 2017, Portland, Maine
