"Realistically quirky characters, delightfully clever writing and a warmly nourishing story about family, friendship and love come together brilliantly in Skinny Dipping, Connie Brockway's latest beguiling tale of a woman who discovers life is all about commitment."—Chicago Tribune

Years ago, lovely young Francesca Walcott ruled the fringes of London society as a mysteriously gifted medium. Until the uncompromising Lord Greyson Sheffield accused her of being a fraud, shattering her world, and sending her into exile in the Scottish Highlands.
Now Greyson has received word that his ward's life is threatened, and he travels to Little Firkin to investigate, only to find the girl's companion is none other than Fanny Walcott, and that the ethereal girl who has haunted his dreams is now a ravishing woman. The audacious Fanny is more than his match in every way and as the sparks of challenge set fire to a passion neither can control, Grey is prepared to risk everything for the one woman he can never forget.
Fighting an unseen enemy, thrown together by danger and desire, the cynic and the enchantress discover their own brand of magic . . . and a love too powerful, too consuming, too beguiling for either to resist.

Once married to a disgraced charlatan, Francesca Walcott, at the behest of a desperate father, has begun a new life in a remote Scottish village as companion to the lovely young Amelie Chase. However, Fanny's peaceful world shatters when a notorious fraud-exposing barrister, the cynical Lord Greyson Sheffield, comes to Little Firkin with his nephew, Lord Hayden Collier, and zeroes in on the women. A dual romance dusted with a dash of magic, Brockway's (Skinny Dipping) latest is charming, compelling, funny, and heartwarmingly provocative, delivering as only Brockway can. Although her contemporary romances are delightful, Brockway here delivers a historical that will make her fans rejoice. A reader favorite, she lives in Minnesota.

Lord Greyson Sheffield ruined Francesca Browns life when heproved that Francescas husband had no real spiritual powers and was simply a swindler out to defraud London society. After the resulting scandal, a penniless and widowed Francesca had no choice but to consider a job offer from Colonel Chase as companion to his daughter Amelia. Chase believed Francesca could help Amelia adapt to her own powers, but Francesca insisted on imposing a few conditions of her own before accepting her new post. Six years later, when Sheffield hears rumors of a witch in Scotland, he travels to Little Firkin with his nephew Lord Hayden Collier and quickly discovers the witchs companion is none other than Francesca. Two perfectly matched protagonists engage in a sexy and entertaining battle ofwits andwiles as RITA Awardwinning Brockway triumphantly returns to historical romance. With its expertly detailed Victorian setting, deliciously clever writing, and captivating plot, this wicked romancewill cast a bewitching spell.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2009, American Library Association.)
